2. Protagonist 1
Protagonist 1 is an unknown character.
Camera angles used enable the audience to never
see his face, this adds mystery to the
character, these angles will be medium shot angles
and low angles which will give him power and
status as he walks past.
In relation to Propp’s theory, protagonist 1 could
be defined as the false hero as when the audience
first see’s him he is injured and gathers the
audiences sympathy, however it soon becomes
clear that he is not as innocent as it was once
thought due to the involvement of other
characters.
His costume is a white hoodie which shows his
innocence.

3. Protagonist 2
The female lead in the opening sequence is
a relatable character as she is very similar
to the average female.
She wears her glasses on top of her head to
keep her hair out of her face, this suggests
that she is usually a calm character and
does not have any reason to think that
something dramatic or rushed would
happen in her life. She wears make-up, but
it is simplistic and natural.
In relation to Propp’s theory, she could be
seen as the princess who needs to be
rescued. However, she could also be seen
as a villain due to the face that she is
cheating on two guys.

4. Antagonist
The antagonist is a character which the
audience doesn’t know how to interpret as
they are seen many good clips of him, yet
also many bad clips of him. For this
reason, the antagonist could be seen as a
villain. However, he could also be seen as
an innocent person within the opening
sequence as he was being cheated on.
The antagonist wears dark clothes, which
represent his darker side, and is seen with
his hood up for half of the opening
sequence.
