According to recent CII report India ranks 96 of 177 countries in the gender development index of UNDP. Just over 54% of women are able to read and write. India , constitute women , with 18% in medium and 5% in large companies.

- 9. Expectation Women regarded work as an integral part of their life. Educated and qualified women aspired for a different roles. Women wanted home, marriage and children as well as occupation. They expected full support from their husband , children and colleagues in their occupational choice. In entrepreneurial roles , women were willing to carry their share work responsibility.
