In ancient time women was not free to make any decision & even they are not free to take
proper education.
Disproportionate sex ratio of Indian women and men.
Empowering the women is only the solution to all question. It is essential to study present
and past position of women.
Women is the leader and planner of family.
Today women is viewed as a property not a human being, who has her own like and
dislike.
4. HISTORY OF WOMEN IN INDIA
Women enjoyed equal status with men in all field of life in ancient India.
During early 500 B.C. The position of women started to decline with Mughal
invasion of Babur and Mughal empires.
During the medieval period, the position of women in society further
deteriorated.
During and after the British rule the condition of women as not very good.

Women play important role in all the fields of development.
Women contributes directly and indirectly for the economic development.
Without women a family is incomplete.
Through the nature has given the genetic power of reproduction especially to the women.
