Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference
Robert Frost

swim with the
current,
on matters of principle,
stand like a rock.”
- Thomas Jefferson

14. What Ethics Is
Putting The Pieces Together
“Looking At The Choices”
• Ethics has a place in everything we do … and
affects the outcome by how we chose to do
• Ethics IS all about understanding our choices
and “doing the right thing for the right reasons”
15. What Ethics Is
Putting The Pieces Together
In dealing with ethics, we must make a choice. We
have two we can choose from- both have
consequences:
1. Choose good ethics
2. Choose bad ethics
Ethics is about choices.
Do we consistently try to do the right thing, all the
time?
At a deeper level “ can you do the right thing even
when it doesn’t “personally benefit you?”
