What is a podcast?

    The term is defined as quot;a digital recording of a
     radio broadcast or similar program, made
     available on the internet for downloading to a
     personal audio playerquot;.
    The word is derived from a combination of
     quot;broadcastingquot; and quot;iPodquot;.

      Checklist:
 ●

              Download and install Audacity with LAME plug-in
         –
                      http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows
                  ●

                      Locate the lame_enc.dll file where you may find it later
                  ●

                      to convert to an MP3
              Make sure speaker and microphone work
         –
                      Drivers are installed
                  ●


              Make sure hard drive space is sufficient (6
         –
              megabytes of space per minute of sound)
              Do a volume check before recording
         –
              Sign up for a free blog, if needed
         –
                      www.blogger.com
                  ●


              Save royalty free soundtracks, if needed
         –

      location of the lame_end.dll file. This file contains the library of
      instructions to tell Audacity how to make an MP3. A safe place
      to store lame_end.dll is in the Audacity program files directory.
