10. I have become a prisoner due to some serious
misunderstanding. Though I do not have any
hope of being released, I want to tell you my
story and try to clear the same.
I was born near the fort of Shivneri where my
parents, grand parents and predecessors
have been living for ages. My other was fond
of me and she taught us all things necessary
to live in the world – how to hunt , what to
hunt and protect ourselves from human.
None of my brothers survived and I was the
only survivor. When my mother was sure that
I have learnt all my lessons well, she asked
me to leave and find myself a new home. I
was very keen to prove myself and therefore
started for the journey.
11. I walked for sometime and realized that I
was close to a village. It was not dark and
some humans were working in the field. I
decided that I should wait and not go
further. I waited in the nearby bush for
dark. Suddenly two humans came nearby
the bush but I held my breath. This was
first encounter with humans and I
remembered the lessons my mother had
taught me. I decided to move and went
cautiously in the opposite direction
avoiding the village.I found an area that
looked ideal for settling down. This area
was away from village with plenty of
shrubs and bushes, some trees and small
hill. Food was easy to fine here. But
satisfaction did not last for long. My
mother had taught me to read smells left
by others and I realized that this was some
one else’s territory. I moved ahead.
12. This continued through the night. All the places were already taken by
someone else. It was not easy. I will have to take somebody’s territory by
strength or go further in search of unoccupied territory. But I was tired and
very hungry. I stumbled upon a hare and had a hearty meal. This was my
temporary home.
In few days, I was confident to sneak close to village and the farms at night
and find food and water. With time I grew in strength . I continued to stay
there.
One evening while I was stalking a dog, a small boy saw me and started
shouting. I immediately retreated in a nearby sugarcane field. It became
crowded there, however I managed to hide. Thereafter I did not go back to
that area for few days.
13. As I went near the village thereafter, I saw some new structure
below a tree. There was a goat tied in inside the bushes and the
door was open. I was about to go and grab the meal , but a warning
bell rang in my head. I avoided this and went to other direction.
I went ahead and saw a similar structure. A dog was tied inside. I
waited till dark. After long time, I went there and entered the
structure, ignoring the human smell. I ignored it as I was too hungry.
I entered inside and saw that there was a barrier inside between
me and the dog. I heard noise and realized that I was trapped inside.
I tired to get out , but all the efforts were in vain. Next morning
humans came and took me away. I could hardly react. I tried
pelading my case but no effect. They threw stones on me.
Some were poking sticks , a few were flashing light.

15. I had never attacked any human in my life and had tried really
hard to avoid confrontation with humans. Still I was trapped
and was taken a prisoner. I am still a prisoner. What is my
offence.? I never attacked any human in my life. I am serving a
life sentence without any hearing.
There are many others of our kind. We get food regularly and
do not have to hunt . But we do not want to stay here. Out
there is our home. We have to hunt, get food, avoid humans,
and defend our territories. But that is the life we wish.
I rest my case to you to plead……
16. Facts about Cheetah
• Basic Facts About Cheetahs
The fastest land animal in the world, the cheetah is a
marvel of evolution. The cheetah's slender, long-legged
body is built for speed. Cheetahs are tan in color with
black spots all over their bodies. They can also be
distinguished from other big cats by their smaller size,
spotted coats, small heads and ears and distinctive "tear
stripes" that stretch from the corner of the eye to the
side of the nose.
17. Facts about Cheetah
In 1900, there were over 100,000 cheetahs across their
historic range. Today, an estimated 9,000 to 12,000
cheetahs remain in the wild in Africa. In Iran, there are
around 200 cheetahs living in small isolated populations.
