Editor's Notes
Welcome... Etc. “ Everything Changes... Yet some things remain the same.”
How many remember seeing this page?
What about this one?
WorldWideWeb , later renamed to Nexus to avoid confusion about the software and the World Wi de Web , was th e first web browser[1] and edi tor. [3] Whe n it was wr itt en, WorldWideWe b w as the only way to view the Web. [1] Source: Wikipedia.org

Watch what you say and do. Online is forever. And the perceptions and misconceptions or out right misquoting can haunt you.
Case in point. This is what is widely believed and attributed to Al Gore’s CNN interview with Wolf Blitzer during his Presidential bid.
This is what was actually said. Though he probably should not have said it, it was not as blatant and credit taking as the perception of it is still today.
This is what has stuck.
Game changers. (CB Story)
iTunes.
Another game changer was Flash. It was and is still a great platform for developing moving and video content for the web, however it causes problems with SEO.
Great looking site a friend did. Really well done, with the exception that the text throughout most of the site is a graphic.
This is why you need a mix of images, video and true text on your websites.
SEO was, is and will be a part of getting found, but it is not the silver bullet. Basic meta tagging and advanced meta tagging accompanied with proper content development will get you higher rankings, but with everything PERCEPTION IS REALITY . The way people perceive your site (and you) to be is their formed reality of you. When people hit your site, do you want them to see you....
As this?
Or this? Relative and interesting content along with good design is your best measures to shaping a good perception.
Flash still is widely used and overused. But as good as ANYTHING is, there is always something that might come along and knock it off the shelf.
Apple vs. Flash.
Is this the iPhone and iPad killer?
Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad are great blogging apps that pushed forward UGC. Tumblr and Posterous are offshoots in the “Micro-Blogging” realm that are propelling UGC.
WordPress started as a great blogging site app and developed into a robust CMS.
Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla are some of the most popular CMS systems available.
When you hear or read about SMM, what do you immediately think of?
These Guys. But why just these two?
This is just a touch of the many SMM tools/Sites available today. However, nothing last forever.
Case in point, MySpace. Started out great, grabbed the market and was then bought out by Rupert Murdoch (FOX) and then bastardized with advertising thus losing it’s hold on the market. The Users dropped it. It jumped the shark. How many have heard or know of Peter Shankman?
4 Critcal Points. Quotes. How do you communicate with your customers and internally? Email, Text, Calls.
So what is it and how are we all already using it?

Various apps and information backup services are in the cloud and adhering to a SSM standard. Why is cloud computing the rage and or needed?
iPads, iPhones, Android tablets and phones are taking us to the next level in micro computing. Essentially what laptops did to desktop computing. Everything changes, but still remains the same. Familiarity is the key to mass adoption. How are most already heavily into Cloud Computing?
Both are applications that are used completely on the web pulled from by tablets, laptops and desktops. What is pushing us into this future of micro computing?
Apple’s newly launched App Store. Most apps will be in a cloud and subscription or per rate will apply to the usage.
