3. About Al Templeton
Al Templeton is a partner and co-founder of The River Group. He
began his career as a Project Manager for National Development
Corporation, a North Carolina land development firm.
He joined the Atlanta, GA office of a large executive search firm in
1996 and became a successful Business Unit manager for the
company, specializing in the recruitment of Civil Engineers before
forming his own company, The River Group, Inc.
Al specializes in recruiting but he is also responsible for operations,
research, project management, staff training and mentoring, and
business development. He is also successful in the merger and
acquisitions of companies.
Al has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of
North Carolina, Wilmington, NC. He holds a Real Estate Broker's
license and is a Certified Real Estate Instructor.

5. Our Search Agreements
• The River Group performs searches using the following fee arrangements.
• RETAINED searches require payment in advance of all or a portion of the
search fee for work in locating candidates for the position. This can
sometimes be the most economical method of recruiting for the client
company.
• CONTINGENCY search agreements compensate for services only after a
candidate is placed and starts to work with a client company.
• HOURLY CONSULTING fees are typically paid in connection with a retained
search or consultation during the acquisition or merger between two firms.
• ALL SEARCHES performed by The River Group, Inc carry the following
requirements of the Client Company, whether retained, contingency, or
hourly.
• Full access to the Human Resource representative and Hiring Manager of the
client company.
• Review and feedback of submitted resumes by the client company within 48
hours.
• Coordination of interview activities with candidates and the client company.
• Assistance in negotiations and presentation of employment offer.

CONTINGENCY SEARCH FEE SCHEDULE
• Develop technical and personality position requirements with key client executives.
• Research and identify target companies, develop search plans for client approval.
• Identify, contact, evaluate, profile and present individuals within the targeted companies to
client company.
• Coordinate interview activities with candidates and client company.
• Negotiate/assist in negotiations of employment offer.
• Follow up with client company and candidate to assure a smooth transition.
Fees and Payment Plans
• Twenty-five percent (25%) of candidate’s annual salary - Payable on start date.
Terms and Conditions
• The invoiced fee is due and payable on employment start date.
• Interest is due and payable at 1-1/2% per month on any invoiced amount not received within
thirty (30) days of employment start date.
• In the event that collection actions are required, all collection fees and legal costs will be
paid by the debtor.
Placement Guarantee
• Provided full invoice payment is RECEIVED within FIFTEEN calendar DAYS of employment
start date, The River Group, Inc guarantees to the employer:
• Should the employee be deemed unsatisfactory for any reason within the first sixty days (60)
of employment, a replacement or credit will be offered in accordance with the following
schedule.
