Creating pack leaders!
An Experience in Design Thinking and Digital Prototyping
A program that develops competencies related to entrepreneurship :
creativity, innovation, teamwork, communication, flexibility and grit.
Program Outputs
Course Content
Each student company will create a working prototype of a mobile app or
website responding to an identified need in their prospective communities.
They will also complete a business plan that will be presented to a panel of
industry representatives for evaluation and feedback.
Cerftication provided through Mozilla Open is awarded to all participants who
complete the program (http://openbadges.org/about/)
This course will guide students through the steps of user-centered design
thinking with the aim to create a product prototype and business plan
responding to a real-life need. Design thinking is a tool for tackling complex
challenges that has been used to find new solutions in various fields.
A special focus is made to develop technology literacy through digital
prototyping. The students will acquire skills with Wordpress web design and
MIT AppInventor. Students are also introduced to a number of business
thinking tools including the Business Model Canvas.

Program Outputs Course Content Each student company will create a working prototype of a mobile app or website responding to an identified need in their prospective communities. They will also complete a business plan that will be presented to a panel of industry representatives for evaluation and feedback. Cerftication provided through Mozilla Open is awarded to all participants who complete the program (http://openbadges.org/about/) This course will guide students through the steps of user-centered design thinking with the aim to create a product prototype and business plan responding to a real-life need. Design thinking is a tool for tackling complex challenges that has been used to find new solutions in various fields. A special focus is made to develop technology literacy through digital prototyping. The students will acquire skills with Wordpress web design and MIT AppInventor. Students are also introduced to a number of business thinking tools including the Business Model Canvas.   Skills Acquired
