  • 2. YCIS Shanghai Yew Chung International School Shanghai (YCIS Shanghai) offers an international curriculum across four campuses. YCIS Shanghai encompasses the premium education standard that the whole YCIS system adheres to. The skills acquired while at YCIS Shanghai can then be utilized to help students achieve the goals they have, especially those that apply to the globalised world of today.

Early Childhood YCIS  develops  their  students  starting   at  a  young  age  in  order  to  succeed.   Instructors  encourage  learning  in   both  Western  and  Eastern  ideologies   YCIS  fosters  students  from  a   young  age  to  be  independent  and   develop  problem  solving  skills   though  hands  on  activities     YCIS  provided  the  means   for  students  to  discover   and  investigate  the   culture  and  world  they   are  immersed  in

Early Childhood YCIS integrates both the English letters and Chinese characters in a play based setting to engage and entertain their young students while developing their bilingual skills Through the use of books and story telling, teachers can create a fun atmospheres to get their students to practice the aspects of phonics and Chinese characters and put them to use.
  • 5. Primary YCIS cultivates their international curriculum around core academic subjects, such as math, languages, social studies and sciences. YCIS promotes these fundamental learning objectives through a positive, nurturing and critical thinking environment.

Secondary As  students  make  their  way  through  secondary   school,  YCIS  focuses  on  developing  students'   critical  thinking  and  learning  abilities  by   incorporating  both  real  word  (global)  activities,   as  well  as  theoretical  practices.  This  helps  to   prepare  students  for  a  successful  university  life,   both  academically  and  socially.     During  this  time  YCIS  prepares  their  students  for   the  International  General  CertiGicate  of  secondary   education  and  the  International  Baccalaureate   Diploma  Programme  (IBDP).  These  are  the  most   recognized  qualiGications  in  the  world.

Extra-curricular After School Activities • YCIS  offers  a  wide  range  of   after  school  activities  such   as  art,  music,  sports  and     Model  UN  club.  These  after   school  activities  let  children   develop  their  social  and   creative  skills  with  their   peers.     World Classroom • The  World  Classroom  helps   students  develop  their   cross-­‐culture  knowledge   and  skills  by  becoming  true   international  citizens.   Students  have  the   opportunity  to  practice   these  valuable  skills  by   visiting  two  or  three   international  destinations. Experiencing China •  YCIS  provides   secondary  students     an  excellent  insight   into  Chinese  history   and  culture  by  visiting   various  parts  of  China

Character Building YCIS has developed their own personalized character building program by adapting England’s Personal, Social and Health education, and the Character First program from the USA. The YCIS program merges various real world activities and programs to help students develop respectable character traits, such as kindness, strong moral ethics, perseverance and diligence.

University Guidance Programs YCIS  offers  individualised   consultation  for  students,   beginning  from  the  time  they  enter   Year  10.  This  helps  to  ensure   students  know  their  own  strengths   and  collegiate  desires.   YCIS  will  work  with   students  to  compile  the   proper  materials  required   for  university  and  college   applications

University Guidance Programs •  YCIS  invites  representatives  from  a   variety  of  schools  from  Asia,  North   America,  Continental  Europe,  and   Australia   •  Students  and  parents    are  able  to   interact  with  these  representatives   to  discuss  admissions,  about  their   respective  Universities  and  the   programs  being  offered
