Four Fundamentals of DAX
DAX (Digital Archive Extended) is a distribuited platform for long-term
preservation of digital archives
Characteristics and peculiarities:
1) Public government network systems
2) Unique & Shared: stores the archives of different government agencies
3) Interoperability based: makes use of close cooperation with local
institutions for public services
4) Legal interoperability: obeys with Italian and regional legislation on
digitization

and agreed common goals, involving the sharing of
information and knowledge between the
organisations, through the business processes they
support, by means of the exchange of data between
their respective ICT systems.”
