What is Mobile learning ?
Mobile Learning is also known as “M-Learning”
Involves the use of mobile, compact, and handheld devices in the classroom, for teaching and learning
Mobile learning means that learning can be “moving,” and not fixed in one area

Easy to carry, lightweight, portable
Takes up less space in the classroom
These electronic devices can store information
Assignments can be shared in small groups or with the whole class
Students can work in groups from almost any location
The use of technology is common in today's generation
Students who were normally uninterested in schoolwork may find using electronic devices more appealing
Affordable
Learning is more independent

Learning is no longer limited to the boundaries of classroom walls
Today almost every public restaurant, library, office, school, etc. has wireless access
Learning can take place from almost anywhere—near or far
Students have access to a wide variety of sources

also known as a palmtop computer
Combines organizing and connectivity technologies
in a small packages

A tablet PC is cross between a notebook PC and a PDA
It can connect to the wirelessly to the internet and other PCs
It is intended to provide the power of a notebook in hand-held form
It enables users to tap the screen with a stylus or use the stylus to write directly
on the screen
The main feature is that it is portable
