1. ECTS Signalling Project Manager Job Ref 1302-20 - Overseas Contract
We have been asked to find a Degree Qualified Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in
Railway Signalling specifically ECTS Level 1
Based on a long term assignment in the UAE your role will be to use your experience in Level 1 ECTS
Signalling to
Take charge of Project Planning, Execution, Coordination,
Monitor and Edit Project Reports,
Act as liaison for all activities of the project
Ensure the Project is completed within the scheduled time and to the satisfaction of the
client.
Specific responsibilities with regard to the signalling and communications systems will be:
Monitoring and supervising the entire planning and construction (execution process).
Supervising all necessary quality tests as specified in the General Contract.
Checking craftsman ship on adequacy and quality;
Supervising the testing & commissioning process and certify
Monitoring and visiting sub contractor’s (especially for machines and equipment)
Review the General Contractor’s request for variation orders or other similar matters.
Inspect and approve the planning drawings and documents, material selection, the
operations and work flow planning, and the equipment plan.
Provision of assistance to the Project Implementation Unit for all technical and commercial
matters;
Submit observations following reviews;
Coordinate with the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and other external bodies in order to
progress the works;
Review system, technical and external interfacing requirements;
Provide advice and oversight of the interface management tasks;
Participate in acceptance testing and approve acceptance tests;
Participate in commissioning and approve commissioning works;
Review project documentation (as-built plans, operations and maintenance manuals, etc);
Provide technical advice in the event of a dispute;
2. Provide supervision and oversight of the works during the construction stage of Signalling
and Communications;
Provide technical advice and assistance for the resolution of problems that may arise during
construction;
Prepare day-to-day progress reports;
Inspect materials and equipment procured;
Prepare monthly progress and financial reports;
Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings as required;
Review and approve the contractor's submissions, e.g. commencement application, method
statement, etc.
This is a long term assignment based in the UAE
