1. Job title Technical Supervisor
Reports to Technical Manager
Supervising of all the Electronics Business unit services. This includes services such as
installations, hardware repairs, quotations, surveys and handing over of systems to clients.
Key Duties and responsibilities
Supervision
Supervises Technicians;
Inspects every Job Card before submission for billing;
Provides technicians with directions for design, development and systemintegration;
Oversees the control-room equipment for rapid response such as radio’s, decoders and
computers and makes sure that they are in good working order.
Training
Provides on the job training for junior technicians.
Reporting
Compiles monthly reports, which includes team’s performance, budgets and projects
status and submits to the Technical Manager.
Other Responsibilities
Receives Job Cards and allocates work to Technicians;
Prepares requisition for material and other resources;
Conducts performance appraisals for subordinates;
Liaises with clients on project’s progress, faults and system upgrades;
Conducts electronic system assessments and gives appropriate recommendation;
Coordinates all big projects and follows them through and subsequently hands over the
project and issues over certificate to client;
Performs all levels of tasks such as troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
Qualifications
5 O’ Levels including English
Technical, Electrical Engineering Certificate or Diploma
In-house training and Supply training
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
2. Working conditions
Safety measures to be taken before work including wearing of protective clothing and gear.
Physical requirements
Physical fitness as the job requires the following but not limited to lifting of heavy equipment,
climbing ladders and ropes, digging trenches and drilling walls.
