Prima is a comprehensive loyalty and rewards management product from
Saksoft which allows marketers to: set up and manage multiple accrual
programs, accept redemption requests from multiple channels & multiple
marketing partners, and provide comprehensive financial reconciliation &
MIS.
Prima is independent of source transaction processing systems and can
interface with all cards and banking systems either in batch mode or online
mode. Prima can also fetch relevant data from a data warehouse as
required.

Challenge
The client has been using EBIMS as their loyalty
management system; to foster the usage of credit
cards by its customers in the Singapore and the
Taiwan regions, the client needs a loyalty manage-
ment system that has advanced functionalities and
features like customization and so on, depending on
its business needs.
Our solution
Prima: ‘A Comprehensive Loyalty and Rewards
Management Product’ is the kind of system that will
help answer the challenge. Prima was customized to
the business needs with the following functionalities
and features:
• Defines multi-level loyalty programs like
customers and products
• Transfers points across products
• Multi-country and multi-currency online rewards
accrual and redemption system
• Supports various types of credit cards
(co-branded credit cards, consumer cards,
corporate cards, and dual currency credit cards)
Result
Prima was customized to the business needs and
went live in Singapore and Taiwan on Sept. 2011.
Currently Prima is used by the client for both Singa-
pore and Taiwan locations as a loyalty management
system.

Challenge
The client has been using EBIMS as their loyalty
management system; to foster the usage of credit
cards by its customers, the client needs a loyalty
management system that has advanced functionali-
ties and features like customization and so on,
depending on its business needs.
Our solution
Saksoft built a central database that comprised of
accounts, cards, and transaction data from
VisionPLUS. Some of the key functionalities and
features of the rewards and spend promotion
application are:
• It has a comprehensive accrual engine that allows
users to define accrual programs based on the
data from the account master base segment and
the account transaction details.
• It has a flexible redemption workflow that handles
both normal redemption and fast track redemp
tion, wherein the card points are debited and the
balance amount is paid on the credit card.
• Has the ability to redeem points for merchandise
• Has the ability to redeem points for marketing
projects of partners, i.e. points can be converted
into air miles for airline partners and talk time for
mobile service providers
• Categorises accounts into account categories
based on account transaction and redemption
performance
• Automates tracking of redemption status
• Automates reversal of reward points when the
transaction is reversed
• Allows points transfer and adjustments
• Allows customer inquiry
• External interfaces:
• Has an interface to VisionPLUS to upload the
reward points summary details for statement
generation
• Has an interface to merchants/redemption
house for delivery of the goods
• Handles operational and management reports
Result
The system is flexible, robust, and in production till
date; this has become a key system for the marketing
team to analyse the worthiness of the rewards
programs or even define programs that will make
customers perceive the value of these programs at
the same time boosts its business profitability.

Our solution Saksoft built a central database that comprised of accounts, cards, and transaction data from VisionPLUS. Some of the key functionalities and features of the rewards and spend promotion application are: • It has a comprehensive accrual engine that allows users to define accrual programs based on the data from the account master base segment and the account transaction details. • It has a flexible redemption workflow that handles both normal redemption and fast track redemp tion, wherein the card points are debited and the balance amount is paid on the credit card. • Has the ability to redeem points for merchandise • Has the ability to redeem points for marketing projects of partners, i.e. points can be converted into air miles for airline partners and talk time for mobile service providers • Categorises accounts into account categories based on account transaction and redemption performance • Automates tracking of redemption status • Automates reversal of reward points when the transaction is reversed • Allows points transfer and adjustments • Allows customer inquiry • External interfaces: • Has an interface to VisionPLUS to upload the reward points summary details for statement generation • Has an interface to merchants/redemption house for delivery of the goods • Handles operational and management reports Result The system is flexible, robust, and in production till date; this has become a key system for the marketing team to analyse the worthiness of the rewards programs or even define programs that will make customers perceive the value of these programs at the same time boosts its business profitability.
