Oaxaca –SUTDCEO); and in Brazil, the SENAC Amazonas. Three

INEW’S EXCHANGE WITH THE MINISTRY
OF EDUCATION OF EL SALVADOR
We have received the visit of authorities representing the
Ministry of Education of El Salvador and jointly with them we
have visited the premises of Vocational Training Center No. 28
“José María Freire”, in Buenos Aires, and the classrooms where
the courses on Brewery, Gastronomy, Hairdressing and
Plumbing, among others, are given. Mr. Javier Luque, education
specialist from the Inter-American Bank of Development-
Honduras Branch, and personnel from the National Institute of
Technological Education (INET) of Argentina have also
participated.
The areas represented by the public officers specialized in
education from the government of El Salvador were:
Educational Management, Technical and Technological Education at Intermediate Level, Social Prevention and Programs,
Flexible Modalities and Planning.
EDUCATION AND WORK: INEW PARTICIPATED IN THE
CONGRESS “CREANDO TU FUTURO” (CREATING YOUR FUTURE)
At the Metropolitan University for Education and Work (UMET) the meeting
“Creando tu Futuro”was held. It consists of a program oriented towards the
promotion of youth employment funded by Citi Foundation and developed
in Colombia, Dominican Republic and Argentina. The meeting was opened
by its Director, Jorge García and was supported by the Argentine Ministry of
Education and Sports, Global Fairness Initiative, the Development Bank of
Latin America, the International Network of Education for Work (INEW) and
the National Institute of Technological Education (INET).
Two panels were performed with the participation of renowned specialists,
their topics included: education-work transition analyzed by the main actors
involved, and the main challenges and public policies of youth employment.
