2. Atoms are the smallest particles that can
exist and represent an elements identity.
The smallest part you can break Helium
(an element) into and still have Helium.
Atoms cannot be created or destroyed.

 Element is a substance  A compound is a substance
that contains only one which contains two or more
kind of atom. kinds of atoms.
