Equivalent to a half day (3 hour) classroom-based course, Licensing Law for Bar Persons is essential induction training for new
bar staff. This fully interactive and narrated set of modules explains key points around Licensing Law and the individual’s legal
responsibilities regarding the serving of alcohol to the public. Understanding is measured and secured with multiple-choice,
post-module assessments.
By the end of the course, learners are able to:
• Provide accurate information about the alcoholic content of drinks
• Recognise early warning signs of trouble, and take appropriate action
• Check for proof of age
• Deal with visits from the Police and other official visitors.
