1. Dear,
I'm a writer with the communications office in the College of Food, Agricultural, and
Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University, and I am hoping you can answer a
few questions to help with a research project on social media.
The Association for Communication Excellence is trying to help communicators at land-
grant universities figure out how to use social media in our efforts to help reporters like
you.
We will be reporting the results to other communicators from land-grant universities
(like Ohio State) and related organizations across the country. Your answers will not be
tied to you or your news organization, but will be reported in the aggregate.
I hope you have the time to respond. You can do it by email -- the survey is below. For
the multiple-choice questions, just put an X next to your response, or delete unsuitable
answers and leave behind the pertinent response -- whatever works for you is fine with
me.
Or, if you prefer to talk, let me know the most convenient time to call you. My schedule
is relatively flexible in the next week with a few exceptions. Just call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx
so we can get something on our calendars.
I'm hoping to get your survey response by next Thursday, Oct. 10.
Thank you for your consideration,
Xxx Xxxxx.
