Irati is going to talk about one of the
most famous dishes in the Basque Country:tuna pot.
Aritz is going to talk about cod to the pil pil.
And tefrah is going to talk about one of the most
famous desserts in Bizkaia:the Basque cake.
2. TUNA POT
One of the most famous dishes of the Basque Country is the tuna pot.
It is a fish stew. The ingredients of the tuna pot are: some
potatoes,tuna, green and red peppers, an onion, garlic, salt and oil.
Most people eat it at lunch. We usually eat tuna pot in summer,
because it is the time when fishermens catch tuna.
In the past, tuna pot was eaten on tuna fishing boats in the
Cantabrian Sea.
3. COD TO THE PIL PIL
In the Basque coutry,cod to the pil pil is a famous dish.The ingredents are:
four pieces of cod,five cloves garlic,a half of a chilli and 300 ml of oil.This is food
for lunch.Firts,put the oil in a casserole low and wide.Then, peel the garlic.When
they are golden,pass them to a plate and set aside.You must do that with the chilli
also.Cook everything and get him away.
To make pil pil sauce:Spend the oil to another bowl and wait until the oil is
hardening. When is warm put a little oil in the pan and a little serum
in the casserole.
At the end put everything in a plate and decorate with chillies.
4. BASQUE CAKE
Basque cake is a popular dessert in the Basque Country.
The ingredients of the Basque Cake are: butter, sugar, milk, 1 egg, 3 egg
yolks,corn and flour.
This is a typical dessert of Bizkaia.
