2. Unstoppable
Picture from the movie. Top of the page, pretty common find in
reviews. The picture usually shows what the movie is about or in
close relation to the theme. Known Actor Vs. the train, is the
theme of the movie which the picture shows clearly.
The picture is followed up the title and the rating of the movie.
People are usually attracted to the rating as it’s the quickest way
of deciding if the movie is good or not. The rating establishes the
interest the audience should put in to this movie. It makes them
wonder why the movie got that rating, which makes them read on.
The journalist side of the review summaries the story with out
giving away much details about it. It also talks about the main
actor that the movie uses to advertise its self. It criticizes the
movie as being “brilliantly simple movie”. ( It give opinion on the
complexity of ideas in the movie). The review must be critical of
the movie flaws and its tendencies, especially when the director is
the main influence for certain things in the movie.
The review uses 1 sentence to summarise the movie . This allows
the viewer to decided if his interested in the movie and if he wants
to know more about it.
In addition it summarises the movies complexity in also 1
sentence.
3. The Millers
The journalist side of the (review/ advert) hypes up the
movie. It mentions only its positive aspects, while
summarising the story of the film. The review needs to be
more critical in our case so there is not much we can take
from this, apart from the way it summarizes the story.
Allot of pages like to start the body text with a massive first
letter of the text. It eye catching and stands out from the
text. It helps the viewer to navigate around the page.
Person on the picture between the text is Jennifer Aniston.
She’s placed between the text because she's mentioned allot
in it. It means that the actress is of bigger importance to the
rest of the cast and that she will bring money to the movie as
she's the more known actress.
The picture at the top presents the main characters/ cast of
the movie. This shows the viewer what they can expect from
the movie its self and the quality of the cast.
Page number and date of release is usually at the bottom of
the page on the left/right side. Allows the viewer to find the
page easily through the contents page.
4. The Worlds End
There is a small table summarising the plot and giving relevant
information on movie (cast, director, run time, certificate,
released). This gives the viewer enough information to be able to
decide if to watch it or not. It also helps to persuade the viewer to
keep reading as the table is conveniently placed above the starting
paragraph of the text.
Blue arrow points to where the body text starts, helping out the
reader find the focal point of the page (important section). It also
goes well with the black and blue house style that is used on the
page, as Blue arrow is on a black text while the rest of the page
follows similar colour scheme.
The journalist side of the interview talks allot about the budget of
the film. The review is biased towards the film as it mostly shows it
Positive aspects and doesn’t mention much negativity.
The picture is taken from the movie its self. Its shows all the
characters in most relevant scene to the review.
