What is Ansoff Matrix?
• The Ansoff Matrix is a strategic marketing tool that helps
businesses and organizations identify growth strategies by
analyzing their existing products and markets.
• It consists of a 2x2 matrix that examines four growth
strategies: market penetration, market development, product
development and diversification.
• By analyzing these options, companies can make informed
decisions on how to expand and achieve sustainable growth.
• It also helps evaluate each growth strategy's potential risks
and rewards, assisting in strategic planning and decision-
making processes.

The Matrix corresponds to a specific growth strategy in each box–
• Market Penetration – growing sales of existing products in an
existing market
• Market Development – trading existing products into new markets
• Product Development – launching new products in the current
