Education Center Closure
Army Education Center will close Friday, the 22 of June for annual cleaning and preparation for trans-
ferring equipment and staff to our Annex. Scheduled Training and classes will not be impacted. The
SUNY North Country Consortium, Jefferson Community, Empire State, and Columbia College offices will
be open. The McEwen Library will be open for computer support.
Housing Survey
In trying to assist our families with their housing needs, we need your help!! Please take a few moment
to fill our this survey on what you like about housing, what they would like to see in the future. This

Clark Hall Parking
Repairs to Clark Hall P10720 parking lot will begin on 6 June 2012 The work will include a sealcoat and
restriping of the parking lot to include larger parking stalls. Work will start on the north side parking lot
of Clark Hall, this parking lot will be blocked off the evening of 5 June 2012. Please insure all vehicles are
removed from the area prior to the evening of 5 June 2012. This work will take approx 6-8 days depend-
ant on the weather. Once the North side is complete it will be opened up and the South side parking lot
will be closed. It may be necessary to use the PX and Commissary parking lot during this time.
Volunteer Opportunities
McEwen Library is looking for volunteers to assist in day to day duties around the library. Responsibili-
ties include: shelving books, process new materials, maintain the routine upkeep of the library such as
dusting shelves, cleaning screens and keyboards, sending out overdue notices. Hours are extremely
flexible...anytime the library is open! If you are interested, please contact Wendy Newell at 772-6605

Heritage Center next to the USO is in need of
one volunteer to help out on Tuesdays begin-
ning in June, anytime between 10 - 2 would

“Active-duty military personnel and their dependents will soon be able to enter every national park for free as part of an effort to
thank service members and their families for the sacrifices they make, the Interior Department announced Tuesday.
An annual pass will be made available to members of the military free of charge beginning Saturday, which is Armed
Forces Day. The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Annual Pass ordinarily costs $80. It
