April 2 Relief offers education cost assistance to Military Spouses and Dependent Children
Scholarships through two scholarship programs. Applications are currently being accepted

February 14 Family Night At Spend Tuesday evening out with the kids at the Winner’s Circle. Pizza and

February 14 Order Romance Make plans to bring your sweetheart to the Commons for a romantic dinner
5 – 9 pm Valentine’s Day in the cozy atmosphere of Buster’s Brew Pub. Choose from a special

February 15 Snowmobile Ride Join Adventure Training on local snow trails riding their snowmobiles. Cost
9 am is $50 per snowmobile. Riders must have taken the snowmobile safety class,
be over 18 years of age, and have a valid ID to operate the machines. This
ride is dependent on the condition of the trail system. Helmets are provided

February 15 & AFTB Level 2 Level 2 courses target leaders and are geared toward professional growth
16 Training and development and communication skills, stress management, conflict
9 am – 4pm resolution, and more. This two day training is held at Army Community
Service. Registration encouraged. Free child care is available through CYSS

February 17 YC African The staff at the Youth Center will offer food tastings cooked by the YC
5:30 – 7 pm American/Black Cooking Club and trivia games to highlight African American/Black History
History Event Month at this free event for youth in grades 7 – 12.

February 17 Indoor Pantball at Youth 10 – 18 years of age can enjoy paintball inside in the Fort Drum Youth
6 – 9 pm the Youth Center Center’s inflatable arena. Cost is $5 for Youth Center Members and $10 for
Non-members. Membership at the Youth Center is free.

February 18 Texas Hold ‘Em This tournament will be held at the Commons in the Winners Circle. Doors
Noon Tournament open at noon for tournament registration. The deals will begin at 1 pm, and
at that time registration will be closed. Players will be provided a beginning
bank of a set amount of chips. Players will continue until they are out. There
is $600 in prize money. This event is open to all Soldiers and DoD Civilians.

2. February 18 YC High School High School students can enjoy a social evening of dancing and hanging out
8 pm – midnight Dance with friends at the Youth Center. Cost is $3 for YC Members and $5 for

February 18 Moonlight Cross Parks and Recreation invite cross country skiers to ski the torch lit trails of
6 pm Country Ski Tour Fort Drum at this fun event. Participants meet at Parks and Recreation
where they can be outfitted with equipment for free then hit the trails for
only $5 per person. Food and drinks will be available at a bon fire along the
trail. Dress appropriately for weather. Event dependent on trail conditions.

February 19 WWE Pay-Per- The Winner’s Circle sports Bar at the Commons has all of the excitement of
3 pm View viewing WWE Pay-Per-View on the big screen. Admission is $3. Doors open
at 6 pm. Live pre-show begins at 7:30 with the feature event starding at 8
pm. February WWE event is Elimination Chamber.

February 25 YC Trip To Fort Drum Youth in grades 7 – 12 can travel with Youth Center staff to
1:30 – 7 pm Syracuse Stage Syracuse Stage-The Professional Theater of Northern New York to see
Caroline, or Change. This play tells the story of an eight-year-old boy
struggles with the loss of his mother and the arrival of a new stepmother.
One constant in his life is a set of small daily rituals he shares with Caroline,
the family’s African-American maid. The year is 1963—civil rights and
Kennedy—and in Lake Charles, Louisiana, change is coming for everyone, in
big ways and small. Tickets are $15 each. Registration deadline is 10 business

February 25 Snowboard/ Ski BOSS will hold the first ever snowboard/Ski “Winch” competition,
1 pm Winch conditions pending. This event will take place behind the BOSS center.
Competition Contestants will be pulled by the type of winch made for wakeboarding, This
set up will pull contestants through a terrain park made up of small jumps,
boxes, and rails. Contestants will be judged on best one out of three runs.
Those who wish to compete will be allowed to practice starting at 1 pm
with judging beginning at 4 pm. Prizes will be awarded to the top three
riders of the competition. Food and drinks will be served.

February 26 CYS Services Families can spend quality time together learning and developing
10 am – 3:30 pm Family Time fundamentals of sports at the Youth Center Gym. Parents can teach and play
with their children in grades 1 - 5 in an open gym setting. This is a Parent-
involved program, drop-offs will not be allowed. This program will be

February 29 Army Emergency The Annual Army Emergency Relief Campaign Kickoff will be held at Building
2 pm Relief Campaign 990. Fort Drum has an exceptional AER office which has consistently
Kick-Off provided more dollars in loans and grants than the amount taken in annually.

spring. Meet and Greet is planned at Parks and Recreation, P-11115 Iraqi Freedom Drive on March
14, 2012 at 6pm. Here you will get the opportunity to share ideas for the Hiking Club. Think of
some names for the Club and bring those to the Meet and Greet on March 14th at 6pm. We want
to hear your ideas and get outdoors. The first trip is planned will be to Haystack/McKenzie
Mountain in Lake Placid in April 2012. This trip offers an easy trail for novice climbers and kids.
