2. This double spread is very eye-catching due to its lack of colour and unconventional lay-out which would draw the readers attention. The artist himself is presented in a very laid-back, stylish way, but also as being very serious. The title and quotes aren’t immediately obvious, the title ‘Sebastian King” is at a vertical angle on the opposite page from the article, suggesting that the artist himself isn’t like the average musician. The quotes in blue on the same page as the image are the only colour on the page. The article itself takes up an entire page, laid-out in traditional columns .
3. The lead singer of this band had been made to stand out from the rest of the band, not only because he is standing slightly in front of them but because the rest of the band have been faded into the background. The main colour scheme is gold and silver, which is reflected in the articles title. The image takes most of the double page, with the main body of the article taking only a ¼ of the space. It is set out in a column, with the questions in bolder text to draw the eye. Some of the text has been reversed out to draw attention to it. I don’t agree with how some of the text has been placed over the image, which makes it difficult to read. However I think the fading out linked with the article title is very clever and overall it is a very attention grabbing.
4. The page is quite plain, with the only colour being the red-checked shirt, everything else except for the name of the writer and the artist, is in black and white. The article itself takes up less than half a page, with most of the double page spread taken up by the main image and the article title, a quote from the artist. The article title is reversed out text, the background of each letter a different size, although they appear to be in the same font. This is quite a creative and eye-catching, because it is so different from other article in the magazine, the main feature would be easy to find while flicking through the magazine.
