Programme in Computer Science and Engineering

•Application documents
– Filled out application form
– Copies of your Master's degree certificate and transcript of academic
records. If the degree certificate is awarded by another university than
University of Eastern Finland, the copies must be certified
– Research proposal
– Study work plan
– Prove of English proficiency in the case of foreign applicants
17. English language requirements
•Foreign applicants must prove their English language proficiency
by any of the following language tests
– PTE (Academic), minimum of 59
– TOEFL, minimum PBT 580 and in writing minimum of 4 / IBT 90 and
in writing minimum of 22
– IELTS (Academic), minimum overall score 6.5, in writing minimum of
5,5
• The English language test is not required for applicants who have
completed their previous higher education studies in English OR taken the
matriculation examination in English language in Finland (IB degree or
English as A1 language) OR conducted their secondary education in
English
• An official statement given by that institution and indicating that the
medium of instruction of the previous studies has been English must be
included to the application
