Editor's Notes

  1. Challenge 1: Students choose to visit the places that other students have visited before with weak connections between departments at research and administration level. A lot of effort to find scientific focus and approve study plans of both outgoing and incoming students is required. Objective 1: Establish sustainable long term strategic research and education partnerships with the International partners to increase synergy and minimize clerical work Challenge 2: IDI’s International Master in Information Systems have few places allocated by the University and it is not extremely popular Objective 2: Increase quality and popularity of IDI’s International offers at Master Level and increase the number of incoming students Challenge 3: Many students choose not to travel abroad as they may lose the possibility for summer jobs Objective 3: Improve the economic and structural conditions of outgoing students so that the number of outgoing NTNU students will increase to reach the final goal of 40% Challenge 4: Research based education is our pillar. However, there is not enough awareness of research practices among students. Objective 4: Stronger connection between Research and Education - students need to become more aware of research processes by acting as young researchers and to be part of experiments (i.e. offering research experiences for our students).
