2. What’s an ATM??
• Automated Teller Machines are well
known devices used to carryout
financial transactions at any time of the
day on any day of the week
• ATMs have become very popular for
their availability and user friendliness
• ATMs are found in restaurants
,hotels ,banking centres , offices,
hospitals , entertainment
establishments and transportation
facilities.
3. Existing System
• In the existing system the user should carry their ATM card
without fail
• ATM cards require a pin code to access the account and carry
out transactions.
• The user may have more than one card and it becomes
harder to remember all the pin codes.
4. Proposed System
• In this proposed system ATM machine can be operated by
using our SIM in the mobile phone.
• Using this system need of ATM card is completely eliminated
we can operate the ATM machine by using our SIM itself.
• It provides more security.
• It is more reliable since it is based on the Universal Subscriber
Identification Modules.
6. Advantages
• A single sim card can house multiple
applications. Just one card can be used
as your license, passport, credit card,
ATM card, ID Card, etc.
• Sim cards cannot be easily replicated and
are, as a general rule much more secure
than magnetic stripe cards.
• Data on a sim card can be protected
against unauthorized viewing. As a result
of this confidential data, PINs and
passwords can be stored on it.
7. Disadvantages
• The sim has to be detached from the mobile
phone every time for the transaction.
• This may cause inconvenience to the user.
8. How are ATM Cards Used?
• Commercial Applications
Banking/payment
Identification
Ticketing
Parking and toll collection
• Security application
• Data transferring applications
• Image processing applications
9. Future….
• In the present system, a SMS alert can
be sent if an unauthorized person tries
to access our account. But in future we
can send the entire footage to the
subscribed user via MMS. This helps in
reduction of thefts and to catch ATM
crashers.
