electronic device that is used people for their
bank account transaction, they used ATM for
cash withdrawal, check account balance, make
deposit of checks and cash, or to transfer money
from one account to another. To achieve this
service they are given a plastic card provided by
bank and they have 4 digit secret code. ATM is
available 24 hours no time when to use. An
Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is a
specialized computer that makes it convenient to
manage your money.

7. The idea of ATM machine developed simultaneous in Japan,
Sweden, U.K and U.S.A.
The first cash dispenser machine developed by “Luther George
Simjian ” in Feb.1963, which known as “Bankograph”.
The second dispenser machine developed by John Shepherd Barron
which matched PIN(Personal Identification Number).
This machine known as “DACS”.
The first modern ATM use in Dec. 1972 in UK.The IBM 2984
designed on the request of “Lloyds Bank”. (Contd.)
This design was similar in function of today‟s machines.
HSBC-Honkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation introduce the
first ATM in India in 1987.
