Turkish Airlines, a 4-star airline flying to 260 destinations worldwide has issued a RFP for a PR campaign.
They seek someone who can provide services including:

Turkish Airlines maintains a growing global network of 260 destinations worldwide, flying to 108 countries, more than any other airline. Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Turkish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, currently flies from gateways in six U.S. cities: New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Houston and Boston. Turkish Airlines will also begin service from San Francisco to Istanbul on April 13, 2015.
2. PR SERVICE OF TURKISH AIRLINES
The following services explain the contents of Turkish Airlines Pr activities divided in 4 parts; Media, Regional Marketing, Planning, Reporting/Measurement.
1. Reputation Management of TK
Media
- Provides regional service of the bulletins sent by Pres Consultancy.
- Development and implementation of local strategies for press (bulletins, special news studies, reportages and acquaintance studies with TK sales directors and local press)
- Preparation of press file.
- Pres trips organizations.
TK Activities
- Projects and carries out opening, anniversary, special celebration and similar activities.
Crisis Management
- Prepares scenario and action plans of TK against possible crisis situations (crash, hijacking, etc)
- Execution of Works within the frame of action plan in crisis situations.
On-Line Public Relations & Social Media
- Announcements of TK’s special campaigns
- Supervision of the social-media campaign
- Executes blogger relations
- Adapts TK’s general messages to TK’s social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Monitors what is being said about TK via social media and report its findings to TK.
*PR Agency will move together with TA’s appointed Digital Agency,
3. Other Services
- Editorial service for general promotion of institution (preparation of talking and presentation letter, etc)
- Country promotion/introduction file.
- Local protocol list, which includes priority people in the county, special to TK.
- Relations with social stakeholders (tourism authorities, airport business, ministry of transport, etc) of TK.
Internal Communication
- Communication project for motivation of TK Office employees, their internal communication, service standards and quality.
2. Regional Marketing
Marketing Activities and Sponsorships
- Activity and sponsorships proposals (planning of the most efficient use of ticket number to given annually)
- Country activity calendar (special days, carnivals, national and international sports, artistic and cultural organization, special weeks, national holidays, etc)to serve advertisement and sales campaigns
Special Projects for Marketing
- Special projects such as activity to target customer groups like institutional customer market, ethnical market.
- Forms platform (association memberships, supply of invitation card to local activities, etc) to establish network to TK director with institutions and persons to comprise channel for sale.
General Promotion
- Presents local promotion proposals,
- Proposals on stand setting up and promotion channels with advertisement purpose, media.
- Makes the follow of fair and sector-specific activities and makes suggestions.

- Communication plan, to be prepared annually and specially for specific topics when required.
- It shall be handled in communication service content taken place above and the following matters in communication plan;
- Communication/perception status analysis of TK in local market; strengths owned by TK, opportunities and threats in sector and country are determined.
- Sectoral analysis; competition status in aviation sector in country, what companies fly in which frequencies, their promotion studies, general perception status, pricing strategies, etc.
- Analysis of local target mass; It is carried out on the basis of customer, sector-specific authorities and opinion leaders.
- Country communication profile; Issuance of country media list (national and local; theme, media ownership, circulation, pres perception), national holiday trends, national mobility periods, national values, national sensitivity areas, general attitude, opinion modes.
- Country calendar; A calendar showing special days, national holidays, activities belonging to country under the title of “Annual Activity Agenda” of region.
4. Reporting and Measurement
- Agency shares the situation of proposals included in communication plan, monthly activity report with all those concerned regularly.
- Report is prepared separately for each action and activity carried out.
