16. Swasthya Samvedana Sena Mobile
App for Health Workers
To contribute in Reducing Maternal Mortality Ratio and Infant
Mortality Rate by increasing skill of health workers to impart health
related information using latest technology devices and Digital IEC
material for health education.
Project ‘Swasthya Samvedavana Sena’ intends to support frontline health workers
by giving them an android tablet preloaded with the ‘Swasthya Samvedavana
Sena’ application. This application puts a wealth of vernacular Maternal health,
Child health and Adolescent health information in formats of video, audio, power
point presentations and image in their hands. The interactive health content
covers a range of topics. As the health workers use the tool in their everyday
discussions and meetings with women in their communities, the administration is
able to track and monitor their activity, using a web based dashboard, to draw
valuable insights from them. 16

Audio/visual IEC is having more effect on behavior change.
Health worker does not have to remember anything and still she
is well updated with latest information.
Updated audio/video/ppts can be uploaded instantly without
any extra cost.
Health worker does not have to carry any extra IEC materials in
field.
Online monitoring of all IEC material at all supervisory level

19. Mata Yashoad mobile App for
Anganwadi
To decrease reporting time by providing mobile application for
reporting. To support AWW to give more time in service deliveries
rather than administration work. To provide dashboard to supervisory
cadre for real time monitoring of AWC’s activities.
Convergence of all eleven registers in single mobile application has
reduced time consumed for administrative work. Also stress
related to this reporting also has reduced. So AWW now can able
to concentrate more on giving services to children.
Automatic plotting on growth chart ensures accurate status of
malnutrition in child. Human errors and reading variation are
avoided.

Anganwadi
To decrease reporting time by providing mobile application for
reporting. To support AWW to give more time in service deliveries
rather than administration work. To provide dashboard to supervisory
cadre for real time monitoring of AWC’s activities.
With single “Sync” button all data go to taluka and district level. So time
taken for report generation, submission and travelling of AWW has
reduced.
Sms notification to mother or care taker will support in social
mobilization of child to AWC.
Taluka and district officers can monitor all the data from office daily and
give feedback to AWW directly.
Valid and reliable data will ensure evidence based decision making.

Grishmotsav (Summer Camp) was organized in 154
primary schools of District Panchayat Ahmedabad.
Many activities were undertaken like live drawing,
chitak kam, rangoli, wall piece making, puppets, mask
making, beauty parlour activities, mahendi, best from
waste and cultural activities etc.

An appeal had been made by Ahmedabad District Panchayat to the
people at the time of Diwali vacation to give such things which can
be re-used and donated to the poor students of the schools.
The MOU schools actively participated in this
programme and lots of people supported it by giving lots

42. Nutrition Kits for TB Patient
Nutrition Kit provided to all TB Patients of District
Under Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme, Diagnosis and
Treatment of TB is provided free of cost to all registered TB Patient. TB
mainly affects poor families and malnourished persons so that patient of TB
require additional nutrition supplementation.
Under this project total 250 TB patients of particular quarter were provided
Nutrition Kit. This Nutrition Kit includes 5 kgs Multi Grain Flour, 5 Kgs Jeggary
and 1 Kgs Desi Ghee. The beneficiary of this nutrition kit includes Multi Drug
Resistance TB Patients, Extensive Drug Resistance TB Patients and New
Sputum Positive TB Patients of District Ahmedabad-Rural. With the benefits
of this nutrition kit, Treatment Outcome of the patients has been improve.42
44. High Risk Pregnant Women
To reduce Maternal Mortality and child mortality
and increase nutritional status of 797 High risk
pregnant women identified by department
In rural Ahmedabad district to reduce MMR we have identified 797 High risk
pregnant women and done the village wise line-listing and cause due to
pregnant women comes under category of High risk eg. TB, HIV, Anemia, Low
hb, multipara, diabetes etc. health team have taken daily followup through THO
and MO who visited every high risk pregnant women and gave treatment which
results in no any maternal death out of those high risk pregnant women. And to
increase the nutritional status of high risk pregnant women 5Kg Ghee Khajur is
distributed to them.

and distributed among Aanganwadi and School Children
Various other seasonal fruits, groundnut and gram also received in large

For the very First time project was launched to create awareness among
