2. Working with a Client
Michelle Butler at Capital
Medical Center
3. The Goal
To create an aesthetically pleasing flyer to
promote Capital Medical Center volunteering.
4. How I got there and what I Learned
I had to use a mix of both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
I learned about the importance of where certain aspects
should go on the page and to use to the rule of thirds. I also
ran into some frustration with manipulating text in
Photoshop, which is why I used Illustrator then simply
imported the text as a smart object into Photoshop.
5. I had to use google to find a tutorial in order to figure
out how to make a grid to show thirds in order to help
me plan out where the text should go

7. What I learned
The basics of using a DSLR and manipulating
aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Ideally, one
would want the ISO to be set low, but in order
for that one needs adequate light. Aperture
affects depth, and shutter speed affects motion.
8. A Resource I used
Camera sim helped me solidify my knowledge
and use the knowledge in a practical way.

9. Splash Page
I used Adobe Dreamweaver
and Illustrator to create a
web splash page
10. I used the provided code in the schedule and
then altered the code to fit my needs. I used
Illustrator to create the logos. The navbox being
centered correctly was one issue that I wasn’t
able to figure out.
