S Rule of halves—if students say they need 10 more core members we
walk them through how that means getting 20 people to commit to
being a part of the organization. And that requires getting 40 people
signed up…etc.
S Recruit to events (or at least meetings with an event/fun component)
S Map the Campus/Community
S Group and Individual goals
S Point people for list-keeping and new member follow-up
S Face-to-face conversations
S Appeal to self-interest (this isn’t in the handout, but comes out of the
conversation above). This is about targeting your recruitment ask to
THEIR interests and motivations.
