  2. Gaining an understanding of who you are serving is essential to creating a website that best serves their needs. Some things you will want to have an understanding are. ACTIVITY: Write down what you know about your audience.
  3. Knowing how you define the success or effectiveness of your site is essential for growing your website. [click through the slides]. ACTIVITY: Write down the top 3 ways that you define success for your website.
  4. Every page on your site should have a primary action. ACTIVITY: Bring up your website’s home page -- What is the primary action that you want people to take?
  5. Clear visual communication is key for conveying your message effectively. Does your website design [step through the slides]. ACTIVITY: Rate your current web design a scale from 1-10 how well your site communicates your message.
  6. Spoke with someone yesterday -- 5 different databases for collecting personal information ACTIVITY: On a scale of 1-10, how well integrated are your systems?
  7. First they had to hand process their cards -- implemented automatic online cc processing Had to hand-ener their order into Quickbooks AND into their inventory system. -- Used Oasis to automatically place the order into quickbooks and into their inventory system that goes to their fulfillment hous. When you make a purchase on this website, the information goes directly into Quickbooks.
