Q1 what have you learned during the making
1. What have you learned during
the making of your preliminary
task?
2. During the making of the preliminary task I have learned how to
use premiere pro and how to edit a clip, by editing the sound,
changing the order of the clips and how the
clip looks e.g. the colour. I’ve also learnt how to use and attach a
tripod, When making the preliminary task, I’ve learned how to
make a storyboard and the type of shots and camera angles
needed within the clip to keep the continuity and for it to make
sense to the viewer.
Storyboarding;-
I enjoyed making the storyboard as it gave my whole group
the chance to bounce around ideas about what we could do for
the task, we didn’t want to just do something cliché as that’s never
Fun to watch or even make, so we thought of something a bit more
relevant to people and then added a dramatic twist.
3. When completing the preliminary task I think we managed our time very
well as we did it in 3 segments;
Segment 1- When Charlie finds out about me seeing her boyfriend behind
her back and trying to find me.
Segment 2- When Charlie finally see’s me and confronts me.
Segment 3- Where Charlie fights with me, and throws me on the ground.
Each segment was filmed on a different day so we had time to upload the
clips to the computer and crop/cut anything we didn’t need.
4. I think my group worked very well together. We all had a go at
filming and editing so we all got used to how to chance the
settings on the camera and how to get used to all of the buttons.
I videoed the scene where Brooke and Charlie are talking and
she finds out about me and her boyfriend(owps). Charlie videoed
the scene where I see her, this took a couple of tries due to the
fact I couldn’t keep a straight face(shock), then Brooke filmed
the fight scenes and when Charlie throws me on the ground and
when Charlie's on a mad hunt. When editing the clips, we all
took it in turns, and helped each other to get used to premier
pro for our final task. Due to the fact we did some scenes on
separate days, it was difficult to achieve the same constant
continuity as there where different days with different camera,
so we had to make sure we placed to camera in the same place
and at the same angle for it to make sense for the viewer.
