The fourth grade class went on a field trip to learn about life as trappers in the 1800s. They visited various stations to learn about different aspects of trapper life including the 1800s schoolhouse, animal skin collection and uses, blacksmithing, canoe making, fire making, housing, tepees, weapons, trading, trapping and camp life. The students engaged with presenters at each station and saw demonstrations of the various skills and activities essential to trappers in Colorado's history.
