       PRE-WORK TO ESTABLISH A BASELINE AGAINST WHICH TO MEASURE FUTURE SUCCESS:

To ensure that you receive a tailored training at CALC, please provide the following information, via
email by Monday, January 23rd, 2012. We will report-out results from each group during the session as
a means to enable organizations to understand where they currently stand, highlight best practices that
can be shared among them and common challenges which they can overcome together. In doing so,
please indicate any requested content that you are unable to provide or which is not relevant to the
manner in which your organization currently operates.

Pre Work Check List:

   1. **Organizational Documents:
         a. By-laws (Drafts and outlines of By-laws are acceptable)
         b. Mission Statement
         c. Leadership/ Decision Making Structure
         d. Names and Terms of Leaders
         e. Annual Reports for 2010 and/or 2011
         f. Strategic Plan (Drafts are fine)

   2. **Goals for 2012: Please have your top three goals identified prior to CALC and have an idea
      about the strategy to achieve your goal.

   3. **2012 Calendar: Please submit a chronological list of any events that your organization is
      planning or thinking about planning in 2012.

   4. Coalition Building Activities in 2011 : Names of Organizations with Which You Partnered,
      Program Participant Demographics and Feedback, Overall Challenges with Activities and
      Partnerships

   5. Challenges & Opportunities List: What are your top five challenges as a leader and within your
      organization? What best practices can your organization share with other diversity groups?

Please submit items to Christina Ulrich at christina.ulrich@cornell.edu on Monday, January 23rd so
that we may submit to Liz Ngonzi, our session facilitator. Items may be submitted electronically and
via links.
