PRESENT CONTINUOUS
The present continuous is used
to refer to situations that are
occurring at the time or when
you are in the middle of the
action, for example:
I'm writing.
You're reading now.
In English, the present continuous is
formed as follows: Verb TO BE
conjugated verb + gerund
frase.You main (personal pronoun)
+ are (verb tobe conjugate
according to the personal pronoun)
+ studying (verb in gerund) YOU ARE
STUDYING NOW.
is formed by adding the
termination INGFORMA
infinitive = (to) Look - (to)
Eat - (to) Sleep GERUND =
Looking - Eating -
Sleeping
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCE:
PERSONAL PRONOUNS + VERB TO BE + VERB
+ COMPLEMENT GERUND
Example:
 They are reading a book now.
 He is traveling around the world.
 I am eating pizza.
NEGATIVE SENTENCE:
PRONOUN VERB TO BE PERSONAL + DISCLAIMER +
VERB + COMPLEMENT GERUND
Example:
 They aren't reading a book. / They are not reading
a book.
 He is not traveling around the world. / He is not
traveling around the world.
 I'm not eating pizza. / I am not eating pizza.
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE:
VERB TO BE + VERB PRONOUN GERUND
PERSONAL + SUPPLEMENT +?
Example:
 Are they reading a book?
 Is he traveling around the world?
 Am I eating pizza?
