Editor's Notes
Good afternoon DCEO, GDs and colleagues from HDB as well as Project team. My name is You Qin and im the Project Director for SB N1C6 & N1C12. A very warm welcome to Eastlink One @ Canberra.
Today's briefing covers the Project Information, Design Features, and lastly we will wrap up with the site visit route before we begin our site visit.
- Eastlink One and Eastlink Two are projects under a bundled contract (under same contractor and consultants). Eastlink 2 has been completed and handed over to HDB since May 2019.
- Eastlink One is where we are at today, which is opposite the soon-to-open Canberra MRT
-I would like to introduce my project team, which comprises of:
Main Con – MD, PM
Lead Consultant – QP, PM
Landscape archi
TP from KTP
QP from Bescon
QS from Arcadis
-Given that we are not visiting C6 today, here are some actual completion photos for C6 - Viewing deck and the view of the landscape deck from one of the units.
- SB N1C12 has 6 resi blocks consisting of 11 and 12 storeys high); Integrated MSCP with basement carpark, NC, Comm plaza.
- Made up of 2, 3 and 4room unit types(w and w/o balcony). We have balcony units at some of the 4 rooms units fare facing Sungei Simpang Kiri.
- Total 600 DUs for C12.
- Vehicular ingress/egress is via Canberra View; Canberra Crescent
- The NC itself will be made up of food establishments, retails shops, supermarket, as well as education centres/commercial schools. We also have childcare centre at MSCP and void decks.
- The residential blocks have been handed over to HDB in July and Aug 2019.
- The works in the NC has been completed,nd we are now working towards obtaining TOP.
Here is the blowup of the two precinct C6 & C12:
- SB N1C12 is flanked by three roads - namely Canberra way, crescent, and view. Opposite Eastlink One is LTA Canberra MRT; to the side is Sungie Simpang Kiri.
Actual Site photo viewed from MRT showing bus stop at foreground with unique façade of Canberra Plaza.
- SB N1C12 has a direct connectivity from Canberra MRT via elevated foot bridge, linking commuters directly from Canberra Plaza to the platform and vice versa.
- At the same time, C6 & C12 are connected via a future Pedestrian Overhead Bridge, for which the work will be commencing soon.
- There will be a future bus stop and dropoff porch which is under construction under LTA, which will add further convenience for the residents in C12 and C6.

Concept
Undulating bands which translates to the unique facade form and paitning.
It becomes a means of way finding at the design flows the entire precinct from the commercial to the residential
Lighting concept

Central Atrium
Design with timber laminate (natural Wajar Oask) with fairy lights bringing the focus to the central atrium that flows upwards.
Reflected ceiling panel is a reflection of the flow of stream that translate to wayfinding across the entire NC.
Play of materials and tectonic is uniform from external to interior spaces.
11000m2 GFA space
24 hourlink
Becomes a convenient thoroughfare from the commuter facilities to grab bite and commercial shopping before reaching the residential units
Consist of about 80 shops and kiosks within NC. Includes supermarket and foodcourt
Floor patterns and ceiling motifs shows the flow and wayfinding to the residential units.
Connectivity occurs on the elevated roof top garden at 4th storey residential,
where residents enjoy the greenery, childcare centre and also connecting to the commercial and water play park
Possibility of communal garden in the future with provided storage for gardening facilities.
Communal 3Generation facilities

Community Plaza
Extension of Canberra Plaza with high ceiling and skylights for public events
Undulating screens to shelter off wind driven rain which opens for grand entrance
Can hold events with LED screen installation and possibility of staged events.
Greenery around community plaza helps to shade and protect from weather elements.
Long mural wall located at community plaza will be a backdrop for the community events showing the kampong spirit that can be amongst the new residents. Motifs are embossed over stone cladding
Residential Concrete façade
- Each storey shows a slightly different façade where the diagonal motif moves. These façade is made achievable by using 1 single movable mould. With 1 mould we are able to achieve 11 different façade for each storey.
Landscaping footpath design resembles the undulating rivers with floor motifs to reflects the river and natural motifs. They double up as a means of wayfinding to facilities and transport nodes.
This is Blk 132
Typical unit distribution consist of 2, 3 and 4 room units for both N1C6 and C12.
