The production, processing procedure of the edible
bird's nest products export to China, shall comply
with the relevant inspection & quarantine and food
safety requirements of China and Malaysia. The
edible bird’s nest premise of those edible bird’s nest
exported to China shall be registered with the
competent authority of Malaysia and reported the list
to China side for record.
Finding :
The association agreed and shall render full
assistance in the registration exercise. The Ministry
shall ensure the state JPV authority to work closely
with the state association to conduct the registration

exercise.
8. Article No. 5
Malaysia side must establish an anti-epidemic and health
management system of edible bird’s nest premises, set
up and enforce the control procedure for edible bird‘s nest
harvesting and sanitary means of transportation,
establish and implement annual programs on animal disease
surveillance and hazardous or toxic substances monitoring
related to product health quarantine and food safety. After
the completion of these programs, China side is to be
informed on content of program and conclusion of the
annual implementation (Appendix Ι & Ι Ι).

10. Finding :
1)This said management system is cover by 1GP inclusive of
GAHP (Good Animal Husbandry Practices) (Appendix Ι)
AND
Malaysia Veterinary Protocol Avian Influenza (Appendix Ι Ι)
2) We shall harvest & transport in according to the provision of
1 GP (inclusive of GAHP)
AND
shall further recommend that the sale and purchase of the
raw unclean edible bird nest shall be completed at where and
when determined by the register bird nest premise owner
and registered agent /bird nest processor where they consider
safe and practical 10
16. Article No. 9
• The Department of Veterinary Services shall issue the
Veterinary Health Certificate to certify the product’s
origin and freedom from Highly Pathogenic Avian
Influenza (HPAI). The Veterinary Health Certificate
shall also indicate the registration number of bird
premises, CNCA registration number of the
processing establishments.
• Department of Veterinary Services, Ministry of
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Malaysia shall
ensure all edible bird’s nest (house and cave
origin) exported to China are natural.
