Manager of long term carenursing stations to include interactions with the unit managers, floor nurses,
CNA on each floor, interaction issues between staff, and resident as well as any interaction issues
between staff, and family members. Management in a style that is friendly, uplifting, and professional of
all staff members, resident’s, and family members. Resources for the staff both new to the facility, and
those that have been there that just want reassurance that they aremaking the right decision. Working
closely with the psychiatric ARNP to manage the symptoms of chronic depression, schizophrenia

disorders, bipolar, and manic phases of psychiatric disorders. Education of staff on managing psychiatric
disorders, dementia, and Alzheimer’s. Educating on safety for resident and staff when residents are
agitated.
Risk Manager of a 180-bed facility. Researching the root cause of a residents’ skin tears, bruises, or falls
whether it be assisted or unassisted. Educate the staff, and attend all new orientation classes to go over
the use of gait belts for safety, and proper use of the lifts, and standard safety interventions.
Management of the Infection control for the facility to include getting the Antibiotic Stewardship up, and
running for our facility. Creating a report just last month for our Quality Assurance Performance
Improvement monthly meeting showing how 13 urinary tract infections were treated, and 9 of those
were unnecessarily treated. Education through in-services of the staff, and one on one in service is done
to achieve positive results for reducing the use of antibiotics for asymptomatic resident’s.
