Firmware Version Management
Compact Flash card (CF Card) comprises common Firmware (single
file) for all Sinamics Components (Power Components, System
Components & CU).
Firmware Version of Sinamics physically available (online) & Firmware
version of Sinamics defined in Starter/Scout Project (Offline) must
match. In case it is not matching, then same is to be done first in
Starter/Scout Offline Project.
Software Version of Starter/Scout must support Sinamics Firmware
version.
In case, Starter/Scout is not supporting the latest Sinamics Firmware
version, then latest Sinamics Support Pack (SSP) is to be installed.
(available on Intranet)
Firmware up gradation is possible only via CF Card.
In case of Firmware up gradation (from lower to latest version), a Card
Reader is mandatory. Latest Firmware is available on Intranet.

Firmware Version Management
It is always recommended to use latest firmware in order to get benefits
of new feature additions & bug fixes (if any) of older versions.
To upgrade the Firmware of Sinamics in CF Card-
Read the CF card using Card Reader on Laptop/Desktop.
Delete all contents of the card (except ‘KEYS & USER’ folders).
Firmware comes in ZIP format. Extract it into CF card directly.
Insert the CF Card back in CU.
Power On-off the system twice.
Latest versions-
CU320-2 (Firmware Version): 4.3.1
CU320 (Firmware Version): 2.6.2
CU310-DP & PN (Firmware version): 2.6.2
Starter (Software Version): 4.1.5.1
Scout (Software Version): 4.1.4.1
