5. Airports Authority of India (AAI): This new
organization was to be responsible for creating, upgrading,
maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure both
on the ground and air space in the country.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) :
Air Safety Directorate
It is a department of DGCA which takes care and
investigates Air accidents.
Airworthiness Directorate
It is a department of DGCA which provides license to pilots
and approve to aircraft and instruments used by Airports

10. Data link-automatic terminal information service
(D-ATIS) : The automatic provision of current,

Voice Communication Control System (VCCS): It
is an electronic switching system, which controls the
complex flow of speech data between air traffic controllers
on ground and aircraft.
Area Traffic Control (ATC): Air traffic
control (ATC) is a service provided by ground-
based controllers who direct aircraft on the ground and
through controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC
worldwide is to prevent collisions, organize and expedite
the flow of air traffic, and provide information and other
support for pilots.
