and knowledge
• Father was Alim in Dar-Us Sakkariyah,

FAMOUS WORK
OF IBN TAYYMIAH
Referred to prison as "a divine blessing”
• Due to his treatise Al-Hamawiyyah in the year 698H.
• Due to his treatise Al-Wasitiyyah in the year 705 H.
• Imprisonment in Eygpt, in the year 705H for 18
months.
• Ordeal with the Sufiyyah in Egypt after his release.
• Deportation to Alexandria in the year 709H and
imprisonment there for 8 months.
• Ordeal because of specific verdicts related to divorce
and imprisonment in the year 720H, for five months.
• Ordeal due to his fatwa on the undertaking of
journeys for visiting graves and imprisonment in the
year 726H until his death 728H
5. DEATH : 661H – 728H
During his last imprisonment, he was banned to use books, paper,
pen
Devoted his whole time in Dawrah (Revision) Quran, did 80 times
before death with his brother.
Died at age of 66 years.
More than 3 hundred thousand people prayed his Janazah.
May Allah reward Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah with goodness and
grant him Al-Firdaws al-A'la and may He cause those after him to
benefit from his knowledge.
