This is the timeline of events through the book, Boy of the Painted Cave.

2. Chapter 1
a. Volt is angry at Tao for leaving the rabbit in the meadow.
b. Tao gets kicked out from the camp in search for his rabbit.

3. Chapter 3
a. Tao hunts with Ram to get the eagle owl eggs and a rabbit in the
Slough.
b. Tao thinks that knowing about his parents is important, so he asks
Kala about his parents, but she only tells him about his mother.

4. chapter 5
a.) Hunters hear the wolf dog.
b.) Tao has to save Ram.

5. Chapter 7
a. Graybeard talks about himself, and his life to Tao.
b. Graybeard was keeping his promise, not to tell other people that Tao
was breaking the laws.

6. Chapter 9
a. Tao sees Saxon the sacred bull and draws it on a rock.
b. Graybeard visits Tao and makes a promise that he will teach him ow
to paint and draw better.

7. Chapter 11
a. Graybeard shows Tao a hidden cave.
b. Graybeard tells Tao what supplies they need for the next lesson, so the
next day Tao collects some.

8. Chapter 13
a. Volt and the hunters spot a deer, but Tao lets Ram loose too early so
the deer runs away.
b. Volt is angry at Ram (he thinks all wolf dogs are evil spirits) for
scaring the doe away. so Tao has to save Ram.

9. Chapter 15
a. Graybeard tells Tao to go to the Secret Tavern, which is only for
Chosen Ones!
b. Tao forgets which path to take, and the flame of his lamp dies out.

10. Chapter 17
a.)Tao sees that Graybeard has passed away.
b.) Tao faces Saxon, the sacred bull.
