My Ways to My Future Career
For my career, I want to focus on serving young people, around 20 to 30 years old.
1. They will be the people who have the largest demand from new services, and their p
urchase power will keep increasing as their age increase.
2. I am in the exact age range, so those are the people I know the best. Therefore, I can
provide them with the most suitable service or product.
3. Young people will rapidly adapt to new things, so they are the ideal target group for
starting a business.
4. They are willing to improve their life by trying new things, so it would be a huge de
mand in the market.
5. Last but not least, most young people in 20 to 30 age range love playing games, and
working in a games company is my dream.

I will live and work in the big cities.
1. The bigger the city is, the more opportunity there will be, both for me and my servic
e or product if there will be any.
2. The more people in the city means larger market and better adaptability to new produ
cts.
3. Cities like New York and Los Angeles have a lot of Universities and research institut
es, where I can find my partner and supports from those people who shares value and h
ave the same goal as me.
4. However, as the internet gets more and more powerful, there could be no limitation o
n geographic position, but for now, large cities are still my primary choice.

What do I want to do?
1. I want to start a company or join a company focusing on new things, and related to g
ames. First, because i am interested in games, so I want to work for the thing I like and
interested in. Also, working for companies related to games is also a motivation for me
to work harder. So, my dream company are blizzard co. and war gaming company.
2. Then, I prefer to work in quality control department for games. I hope my job will fo
cus on the quality of games, the need from the market, and the feedback and improveme

When do I start and why?
1. I believe I have already started. Since I play all kind of games, I have some ideas of
the quality of games. Also, as a customer for games myself, I know what customers are
looking for and would like to pay for or enjoy what kind of element.
2. As I took classes on business and marketing, I have a basic idea of the relationship i
n the market between the companies and customers. Also, I am familiar with the supply-
demand curve, which also help me understand the market. Moreover, I have done sever
al researches and field studies about some success companies and fail companies. Theref
ore I also understand what doing business is like and the process of doing business. Wit
h the experience, it will be quick for me to understand the business in games industry.
3. The computer science classes I took gave me an idea of how the games were made.
Also, in those classes, I have some experience in computer programming with Java and
C++. Also, I have learned web design with html in those classes. I believe these experie
nce in computer science will help me blend in to any department in a games company.
4. Accounting classes helps me understand the balance sheets, income statements and mo
re of company's financial statements. With the understanding of accounting reports, I can
have a overall idea of the financial situation of the company, and analyzing financial re
ports are also an important source of feedback of the products, which are the games for
games companies. So, I not only can help with the quality of games, but also can help
with the profitability of a game.

5. For future, I would like to continue building up my skills and at the same time learn
more information from the games industry to lead me to my destination. After graduatin
g from college, I plan to study for business engineering in graduate school. I believe all
the knowledge I study and all the information I get will be helpful to my future career.

How do I going to do this? And what is my first step?
1. I believe I am in my first step of achieving my goal of working for a games compan
y, which is getting to know multiple games, study for relative fields, and watching for n
ews and events that related to games and companies.
2. Then, I believe further education is necessary. I plan to study for business engineering
after graduate from college. The business, computer science, and math I will learn from
business engineering will be a huge help for my future career.
3. Moreover, getting more real experience is also critical. I will try to find internships in
some games companies and build up my real work experience before I step out of educ
ation period. In those internships, I wish not only to know what a single department do,
but a overall running process and cooperation in a company. It is like, if I only know m
y job, I can do it well, but when I hand it to other people when I finished, they may no
t fully understand what I was doing. But, if I know what they are waiting for from me
and what the will pay attention to, I can make their work easier. And the overall efficie
ncy of the department could increase rapidly due to the understanding between the peopl
e.
