2. STEP 1
Begin by selecting the piece of
footage that you want to
import and then add a score
to.
3. STEP 2
To add a video to the timeline,
and then the program, click at
the bottom of the page on the
link that says editor – then on
the video editor dropdown
option.
4. STEP 3
This notification after clicking on the
video editor link informs you that its
going to add it to the end of the
timeline and also to premier
elements.
Press okay and wait for the next
step.
The video can now be seen to
have been added to your
timeline at the bottom of the
page.
5. STEP 4
Next click on the zoom/drag panel
on the right hand side to lengthen
your timeline and make all of the clips
visible on the timeline.
By expanding the scenes
and how they are shown on
the timeline, this will make it
easier to match the scenes
and the audio up.
6. STEP 5
To add a musical score to the
scene, you need to click on the
audio button in the bar at the
bottom of the page.
At the top of the list of music
scores, there is a drop down
bar that offers different
categories of different types
of sounds to choose from that
will be the most conventional
for your clip.
7. STEP 6
After choosing the musical score
that you are going to use, you
need to drag and drop it to the
scene that you want it to begin
playing in.
The sound will begin to download
and then be available when
playing your video/collection of
scenes.
8. STEP 7
Once the score has be
downloaded a box will
appear in the bottom left
hand corner. This will allow
you to preview the score at
this point and to change the
scores intensity changing the
amount of instruments that
are in the score.
9. STEP 8
You can now see that the
score is the length of all of
the scenes and only starts
at the scene you have set
it to start from. You can
shorten or lengthen the
score by dragging the
green bar at the bottom.
10. STEP 9
You can trim the video by clicking on
the point that you want to become
the end (the scenes you want to keep
will then have an orange box around
them) and then release to delete.
Do the same thing now with the
score to shorten it if you wish.
