extends to a great deal more than the Taj Mahal or the
temple complexes of Khajuraho.

architecture and spent lavishly on the construction of mosques, and
palaces. But among them Taj Mahal (1653), is an edifice of such
ravishing beauty that it has now become icon of India.

body of production that cannot in all justice be
exemplified by the above approaches.
• It has evolved over the centuries and has been
affected by numerous invaders who have brought
different styles from their motherlands.
• Indian architectures represents the diversity of
Indian culture and comprises of a mix of ancient and
varied native traditions.
• Therefore, I would include Indian architecture in the
time capsule to demonstrate legacy of India.
