ISem 101 Semester Reflection Assignment
1. ISem 101: The Monsters We Make
Semester Reflection Assignment
Purpose:
As you come to the end of your first year in college, it is fitting time to take stock and
think about where you’ve been and where you’re going. As I’ve said before, we often
don’t realize what we have learned until we stop and consider our experiences.
Description:
To support you in doing that, write a one- to two-page reflection (typed, double-
spaced) in which you consider your experiences this semester. You may write about
any issues that have come up – academic, personal, social, etc. Feel free to write
about this class, your other classes, your living situation, your work…whatever
affected you. You do not have to cover anything in particular, but here are some
questions that might help you get started:
• What experiences (in or out of class) this semester have had the most impact
on you?
• What did you enjoy the most? …the least?
• What experiences surprised you?
• What have you learned about yourself this semester?
• What worked for you this semester in terms of meeting your goals? What
would you like to do differently next semester?
• What goals do you have for next semester?
Due Date:
Submit in Bblearn by Friday, 5/4 by end-of-day.
