included in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
Monitoring and reporting their emissions index on an annual basis
Based on Total volume enroute traffic generated and fuel burn
THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES: JOINT RUSSIA-CHINA STATEMENT

5. Single European Sky ATM Research
• The inefficiencies in the current fragmented system are
estimated to cost the airspace users €5 billion annually.
“By 2050, passengers and freight should enjoy efficient and seamless travel services,
based on a resilient air transport system thoroughly integrated with other
transport modes and well connected to the rest of the world.”

• decrease safety-critical ATM-induced incidents per year
• increase capacity in the region to support predicted traffic growth
• reduce amount of emissions related to ATM inefficiencies to 1% by 2020

travelled on European services and 92 million outbound
Compared to 2011, an additional 8.7 million
passengers chose AEA member airlines
The passenger load factor improved by 1.7% to 79.1%
Despite a reasonable passenger traffic growth of around 3%,
AEA recorded consolidated operating loss for 2012 of €1.3 billion.
Accumulated loss of €4.1 billionn since the 2008/09 crisis
